Who I Work With
Whether you’re a teenager trying to figure out who you are (including your identity, orientation, or gender), a parent trying to help them, an adult navigating a chapter of life no one prepared you for, or someone who just wants a space that doesn’t require explaining yourself — this is a place for that.
For Teens & Young Adults
You don’t need to have it figured out to come to therapy. You just need to be willing to show up.
I work with teens and young adults who are dealing with self-worth, anxiety, social pressure, family conflict, self-harm, or trauma — the things that feel too big to say out loud and too heavy to carry alone.
I also support teens and young adults as they navigate questions around identity, gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ experiences.
Most of my teen clients tell me I’m hard to BS. I take that as a compliment. I’m not here to lecture you or tell you how to feel. I’m here to actually listen — and to say the things other adults are too cautious to say.
If you’re tired of feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or like you have to perform being okay: that’s exactly what therapy with me is for.
This might be a fit if you are:
A teen or young adult (roughly ages 14–22)
Dealing with self-worth, anxiety, or depression
Navigating self-harm or a difficult home situation
Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform being okay. You can be honest, messy, angry, overwhelmed, confused, or simply unsure of what you need. We’ll figure it out together.
For Adults in Transition
Sometimes life interrupts. A relationship ends, a job shifts, a loss lands, a chapter closes — and the version of yourself you knew how to be doesn’t quite fit anymore.
I work with adults navigating divorce, grief, major life changes, and the identity questions that come with them. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes you just need a space to think clearly and someone in your corner who can help you figure out what comes next.
This might be a fit if you are:
Processing a divorce or the end of a significant relationship
Navigating grief, loss, or a major life transition
Dealing with a career change, identity shift, or a chapter that’s closing
Wanting support during a period of significant uncertainty
For Families & Parents
No one comes into parenting with a handbook on how to do this. And when your teen is struggling, the pressure to say and do the right thing — while also managing your own fear and exhaustion — can be overwhelming.
I work with parents who want to understand what their teen is going through, and with families navigating the communication breakdowns, conflict, and complicated dynamics that come with raising adolescents. You don’t have to be a perfect parent to be a good one. You just have to be willing to show up, and try to hear and understand your child.
I offer parent consultations and, where appropriate, joint sessions — because the work teens do in therapy is almost always more effective when the adults in their lives are engaged.
This might be a fit if you are:
A parent of a teen who is struggling and you don’t know how to help
A family navigating conflict, communication breakdown, or a crisis
A parent wanting guidance on how to support your teen without pushing them away
Interested in joint or family sessions alongside your teen’s individual work
My focus is helping clients and families heal and build tools to manage symptoms — not to serve as an evaluator or witness in custody or legal disputes. If that’s what you’re looking for, I likely won’t be the right fit, and I’m happy to talk that through with you before we begin.
Not sure if this is the right fit?
Reach out anyway. We can figure that out together.
