Fees & FAQs
Straightforward answers to the questions most people have before reaching out.
Individual sessions: $175 per 50-minute session
I am a private-pay practice, which means I do not bill insurance directly. After each session, I provide a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network mental health benefits. I recommend calling your insurance company before your first session to ask about those benefits.
I believe cost shouldn’t be the only reason someone doesn’t get care. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for clients who can demonstrate financial need. Please reach out to discuss.
FAQs
Do you take insurance?
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement; superbills are provided monthly, upon request. I recommend calling your insurance company and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Sessions are available in person at my Long Beach office or via telehealth. I am licensed in California and currently provide therapy to clients who are physically located in California at the time of their session. If you live outside of California, I’m unable to provide therapy services to you, including via telehealth.
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes.
What does the first session look like?
The first session is a chance to meet, talk about what’s bringing you in, and see whether we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure and no commitment to continue therapy after that session.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled session time. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours in advance, as well as missed appointments, will be subject to the full session fee.
Do you work with minors?
Yes. A significant part of my practice is working with teens and young adults. Confidentiality belongs to the client — not the parent — which means I don’t share session content with parents without the teen’s consent, except where safety requires it (mandated reporting).
My focus is helping clients and families heal and build tools to manage symptoms — not to serve as an evaluator or witness in custody or legal disputes. If that’s what you’re looking for, I likely won’t be the right fit, and I’m happy to talk that through with you before we begin.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re asking that question, it probably is. Therapy doesn’t require a crisis. It requires a willingness to show up and do the work. If you’re on the fence, reach out — we can talk through it.
